Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the seven local government areas of Kwara South Senatorial District have unanimously endorsed the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while also throwing their weight behind the agitation for a Kwara North governorship in the next political dispensation.
The endorsement was made during a stakeholders’ meeting attended by party leaders, grassroots mobilizers, youth representatives, and women’s groups from across the district. The gathering reaffirmed the zone’s loyalty to the APC-led administration at both the federal and state levels.
Speaking at the event, party stakeholders highlighted the need for continuity in governance at the national level, citing ongoing reforms and development initiatives under President Tinubu as reasons for their support. They expressed confidence that his leadership would further stabilize and reposition Nigeria’s economy if given another mandate.
On the state front, the stakeholders declared their support for the Kwara North governorship agenda, describing it as a matter of fairness, equity, and balanced power rotation among the three senatorial districts of the state. According to them, allowing Kwara North to produce the next governor would strengthen unity and deepen democratic inclusion in Kwara State.
Leaders at the meeting also called on party members across the state to remain united and focused ahead of future elections, emphasizing the importance of cohesion in achieving both the re-election of President Tinubu and the realization of the Kwara North governorship ambition.
The event concluded with a collective resolution urging APC faithful to intensify grassroots mobilization, strengthen party structures, and sustain engagement with the electorate to ensure victory in the forthcoming elections.
