Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme Expands Students’ Digital Expertise in Week Ten

The 2026 Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme continued its steady progress in Week Ten of the Third Term, with students across participating centres building stronger competencies in programming, web development, data analysis, and cybersecurity through engaging practical sessions.
Throughout the week, learners explored essential programming concepts, including basic programming, coding best practices, nested loops, Python modules, and functions with emphasis on syntax and parameters. Participants also advanced their web development skills by learning HTML structure while strengthening their understanding of front-end development.
Students further enhanced their data literacy through practical sessions on Microsoft Excel, covering formulas, functions, and techniques for sorting and reorganizing data for effective analysis. In addition, lessons on data security, ethical online behaviour, and recognizing and responding to cyberattacks equipped learners with the knowledge needed to navigate the digital space safely and responsibly.
To maintain the programme’s high standard of delivery, facilitators participated in the weekly Training of Trainers (ToT) session held on Friday, July 3, 2026. The session reinforced instructional best practices and strengthened facilitators’ capacity to deliver quality technology education across participating centres.
