Emir of Ilorin blesses APC Gov’ship Candidate Danladi, others ahead of 2027 general election

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has invoked royal blessings on all the All Progressives Congress, APC candidates in the State and commended the outstanding performance of His Excellency the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON.
Dr Sulu-Gambari gave the blessing today when the APC governorship candidate, Rt Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, led other candidates of the party on a courtesy call on the Emir in the ancient city of Ilorin, the state capital.
“The forecourt of my palace has been filled up with your supporters since the morning. Is today the voting day or you only come for familiarisation? I pray to God that whatever steps taken by Sardauna Ngeri Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq shall be divinely blessed. My blessings are with all APC candidates backed by him (Gov AbdulRazaq),” the Emir stated.
The royal father also noted that “whoever sees good things and chooses not to say it is insincere and mischievous. There is no hidden place for lies. Let’s call a spade a spade. What we are seeing on the ground is a reality. Whoever does good, let’s say it. The governor has performed well.
“Earlier, while presenting the governorship and other APC candidates to the Emir, the APC state chairman, Prince Sunday Adeniran Fagbemi informed Alhaji Sulu-Gambari of the transparent process that led to the emergence of the party’s candidates, noting that the primaries were conducted by the APC National Headquarters in strict adherence to the party’s guidelines.
Also speaking with newsmen on behalf of all the candidates after the visit, the APC Governorship candidate and the Speaker of the ninth and tenth assemblies, Rt Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, noted that democracy is an aggregation of interests and assured that efforts are ongoing to unify all stakeholders within the party.
“By the grace of God, all of us will be guided, and we will jointly support Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to move Kwara and Nigeria forward,” he said.
Rt Hon. Danladi-Salihu maintained that “where there is peace, there is development. Let us come to the round table and by God’s grace, we will carry each and everyone of them along. APC is big and there are a lot of positive things happening in the party. The reconciliation committee has been set up and I know the committee will do justice to it, and peace, as we are witnessing, will continue to reign in APC and Kwara.”
The APC Governorship candidate expressed confidence ahead of 2027, adding that “by the grace of God, 35-0 is assured, and APC will carry the day once again. We are seeing thousands of our members on the streets of Ilorin doing rallies for us; we are very happy, and we thank Kwarans for coming out en masse to support this administration, to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and, by His grace, I know what Kwarans have shown yesterday and today, that is what they will show in 2027 by God’s grace.”
Also joining the APC candidates to pay the courtesy call on the Emir of Ilorin were members of the Kwara State House of Assembly, cabinet members, stakeholders, elders and party faithful, among others.
