Kwara United have received a major boost ahead of their decisive Nigeria Professional Football League final-day clash against Bayelsa United, as the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and APC Governorship Candidate in Kwara State, Engr. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, Kwara State Sports Commission Chairman, Mallam Bola Mogaji, and Oro-born oil magnate and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Joseph Olaleye Duntoye, rallied support and motivation for the Harmony Boys ahead of the crucial encounter.
Engr. Danladi, in a message posted on his official Facebook page ahead of the game, called on stakeholders and supporters across the state to rally behind Kwara United as they battle to maintain their status in the Nigeria Premier Football League, while also wishing the team success in the must-win fixture.
Also boosting the morale of the team, the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji, charged the players to go all out for victory, assuring them that their outstanding bonuses would be fast-tracked.
Mr. Duntoye, who heads an oil and gas company based in Port Harcourt, further motivated the team by pledging the sum of ₦2 million for victory against Bayelsa United which he dropped #1 million to be balanced after the match as part of efforts to encourage the players to finish the season strongly and sustain their NPFL status.
